Modified Marder

Lars from Norway
I have cut my Marder in half großes Grinsen Wanted to make an onroad, but still wanted to go offroad by some simple modifications.I ordered new springs ot the front and rear,in the front i used the original damper housings, but on the rear i used the rods from a front damper, and the housings from a rear damper to make it a bit shorter.I dont need the long stroke on the rear as it is going to be used onroad.More pics of more modifications to follow
Lars from Norway
I have made an extension that i have screwed on,i also had to extend the rods for throttle and brake,so now the car accept 535 mm bodies.
Lars from Norway
Made a bumper in the front and one on the rear making it easyer to lift with the body on,and a plate under the bumper in front so that the bumper on the body dont get scratched up.I went to the plummer and bought some coppertubing to extend the exhaust down to were it goes out of the body on the real car

I can't believe. Never saw that before but however have fun. Nevertheless I guee using the ricght chassis will make this job much easier than the extension.

By the way don't spend money with the linkages. It's just a wire you know but can be important. Blue Banger

I was told after the extension that there is a chassiplate for 535 mm wheelbase for Marder in the shops, but i enjoyed the work anyway smile

What linkages and wires are you talking about Ray?

Here is the body,Ford Focus from MCD

As in my other thread about my Ford Capri, please comment in German if you like! Hallo hier
Lars from Norway
Made some lights for the car some months ago,and a lightpod for the bonnet.Used 4 led torches for the pod and 10 mm diodes for the rest of the lights.

The brakelights are operated by a microswitch engaged by the brakeservo.
Lars from Norway
Here are some pics from the inside, the brakelightswitch and the batteryholder.Made some mudflaps too smile The last pic is the upper brakelight,5 pcs 5 mm diodes mounted in 10 mm thick plexiglass

Great Pictures,great Car
is it a 1:5 or a 1:4 ?
mfg gismo
Lars from Norway
gismo:It is a body from MCD in 1/5 scale,as is the multispoke wheels with large centersection and small spokes with the Ford-logo

Stefan Blank:Thank you!It surely has taken a lot of time, but i have enjoyed every minute of it smile

Asmodis:That is nice to hear, thank you!

hubidauh:As for the others;thanks to you too!I wanted the car to look "right" and a bit more scale,so a little extension had to be made on the exhaust Augenzwinkern

I suddenly remembered i have more pics of it that i havent shared with you, some of the front brakes and a selfmade pullstart handle. Here they are:
