Hello,
I present you my new electric prototyp.
The base of this project is a MCD Rally car.
But all the parts change.
Alloy 7075, titanium for all the transmission, carbon, ...
The motor is a Lehner, 3060 ref, 8KW, 50000 rpm !
2 x lipo 6S, 22V, 35C, 5000 mha.
The controler is a Schulse, 300A !

at 50.000 rpm (as stated above) I would do not really wonder about that....
you won't need that speed at that position inside the car... maybe he will try speed record for rc-cars?
Model Concept
Yes, the original bearings are very light.
The motor is very strong and fast.
I replaced by ceramic bearings.
And now : Perfect !

AWESOME CONVERSION!!!

(not only this one, the others too)
this controller from Schulze and the big Lehner are realy impressive!!
the LRP set looks like an 1/18 set beside the Controller
your truck sucks!
hope you go on quickly with the conversion to send us more pictures and videos (without fire

)

Nice job that you are doing there o.o
Must be a lot of fun, driving this MONSTER when its 100% ready! XD
I hope all parts will survive the first testride, especially the ones that are selfmade...
I would Cry a river if a selfmade chassis or whatever would just explode into thousands of pieces.

hi
seems like an awesome project going on.
some questions. is that the original case the 40.300 esc came with? if i read it correctly you chose the 3060 as a 7turner right? that means 1000 rpmv on a 12s lipo. that is quite high rpm your are heading. i wonder what the temperatures will be on the motor and whether the lipos may deliver that high ampere peaks. usually we would look for something around 25'000rpm in a large scale electric model like this. so maybe you could try a 3060/10 or even higher. i guess it would bring down temperatures a lot and prevent your lipos from damages. however if you are wiring up the two 6s lipos in parallel its another story of course.
bye
